Liana never set out to build a skincare company. She set out to stop reacting to her own sensitivity and irritation, products that promised calm and delivered the opposite — the shelf kept offering the same answer with a different label on it. So she started reading ingredient lists instead of front labels. Then she started making her own. After years of testing formulations by hand, the answer became Luxal.

Every Luxal formulation is built around certified organic ingredients, and nothing else. No synthetic fragrance, no fillers to bulk out a jar, no ingredient that's there to extend shelf life rather than do something for your skin. If it doesn't earn its place, it doesn't go in — because when your skin reacts to everything, every ingredient has to justify itself.

The Story Behind Luxal

Born from a personal need. Inspired by knowledge passed across generations.

For years, I struggled with skin that felt dry, sensitive and difficult to satisfy. I tried countless products, always searching for something that would give my skin the nourishment and comfort I was looking for.

Eventually, searching for the right cream became something more. I began researching ingredients, learning about skincare formulations, and speaking with dermatologists and pharmacists to better understand what I was putting on my skin.

Then my journey took me back to my roots in Europe.

I remembered that my grandmother's neighbor was a pharmacist who had experience preparing beautiful face creams. Through that connection, and with my grandmother helping bridge the distance, I was able to learn from her online about ingredients, formulations and the principles behind creating natural creams.

And so I began experimenting.

It wasn't easy. I failed many times. Some creams were too heavy, others too light. Some separated. Others simply didn't have the texture or feeling I wanted.

But every unsuccessful batch taught me something.

I continued researching, experimenting and refining—learning how botanical butters, precious oils and carefully selected ingredients could work together.

Slowly but surely, everything began to come together.

What started as a very personal search for something better for my own skin gradually became a collection I wanted to share.

Today, that journey has become Luxal Cosmetics—a line of small-batch face and body products created with thoughtfully selected ingredients and shaped by years of curiosity, persistence and learning.

Luxal didn't begin with a business plan.

It began with a problem I wanted to solve for myself.

And somewhere between my own sensitive skin, many imperfect batches, conversations across an ocean and the generosity of someone willing to share her knowledge, Luxal came to life.
